Rachel Lynch, RN, MSN, CPNP

Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner In San Francisco

Rachel Lynch is a Washington DC native and she earned her bachelor’s degree in biopsychology at Tuft’s University. During her college years, she cultivated an interest in the relationship between the mind and body, which was later strengthened by her involvement in research at UCSF. While Rachel quickly fell in love with Northern California, she migrated back to the east coast to complete her nursing and advanced practice nursing degrees at Columbia University. Rachel was drawn to nursing for its emphasis on whole-person care, which, in addition to physical health, prioritizes mental health, social and environmental factors, and nutrition. She was a Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society member and spent a month volunteering at one of the largest HIV clinics in the Dominican Republic.

Rachel returned to the Bay Area with her husband after finishing her advanced nursing education. She accepted a position as a pediatric nurse practitioner for a private practice in Orinda and simultaneously worked at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland on an enzyme replacement study for a very unique group of kids born without this necessary component of intracellular metabolism. She later accepted a position as a pediatric nurse practitioner in the Rehabilitation Department at Children’s Hospital Oakland.

Rachel is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She loves working in pediatrics as it affords a unique opportunity to build relationships with children and their families. She joined GetzWell Pediatrics to practice a more inclusive style of medicine and to spend more time with families fostering these meaningful relationships. In her free time, Rachel loves to be outdoors, hiking and biking in the Oakland hills, camping with her husband and children, and traveling.
